When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

At long last! The computer is well again (after unplugging and replugging in its brain--don't you wish that could work on people sometimes?) and here's the new dragon. From Warcraft III, the Frost Wyrm is the largest of the Undead flying units, and a real pain in the tush. I based the drawing on in-game screen shots, which really weren't as clear on the models as I would like. You know... those horribly dated graphics from all of 3 years ago.

When Mola first suggested to me that I draw a Frost Wyrm, this is the pose that came into my head. I wanted something aggressive, like it was about to pounce on you. (rawr) I then spent a lot of time studying the game model and building a mental model of what I wanted it to look like. After the rough sketch was done, it was hours and hours of detailing and research work. I lost track of how many different bone pictures I looked up on the internet. Did you know it's almost impossile to find a picture of a dinosaur pelvis that *isn't* a straight side view? I also learned (which I really should have known, but it just never occurred to me before I drew this picture) that one's thumb and one's big toe have one less joint in them than the rest of one's fingers and toes. Anatomy is weird!
